In April 2024, the Charlie SMB community came together for its much-anticipated annual meeting, a gathering that beautifully blended scientific rigor with camaraderie and celebration. This year’s event proved to be one of the most vibrant yet, marked by insightful discussions, forward-looking plans, and an unforgettable evening of Italian hospitality. The day opened with a deep dive into the accomplishments of Charlie 1.0, the first major milestone of the collaborative Charlie initiative. Researchers and collaborators from across the project shared their latest results, showcasing significant advancements. The meeting served as a platform to recognize the collective effort and innovation driving the project forward.

After a full day of high-level scientific exchange, participants gathered at the stunning Il Borgo Machiavelli, a historic and picturesque venue nestled in the Tuscan hills. As the sun set over the vineyards, attendees were treated to a delightful dinner featuring traditional Italian cuisine, flavors that delighted every palate and warmed every heart.
